way through my journey
downstream, having travelled
some 150 miles from the
source in Gloucestershire to
Richmond, I’m wondering
how many other forgotten
champions I have still to find
as I catch the train to nearby
Kew, a place I often went to
as a child, but never as an
adult, on the hunt for Thames
swimmers.
