Services. Total addiction treatment
spending in 2010 ($28.0 billion)
included:


 92.7 percent ($25.9 billion) for
services, including:


 48.3 percent ($13.5 billion)
for outpatient services (non-
hospital, 38.4 percent, $10.8
billion and hospital, 9.8
percent, $2.8 billion);

 27.9 percent ($7.8 billion) for
residential (non-hospital
inpatient) services; and

 16.5 percent ($4.6 billion) for
inpatient hospital services;

 6.7 percent ($1.9 billion) in
insurance administration fees; and


 0.6 percent ($0.2 billion) for retail
prescription drugs.^60 (Figure 7.G)
