coolness and contraction outside, high potassium, plants, cold,
dark, female, sugar, spices, wet, sour foods, unsaturated fats,
chemical additives, stimulants, alcohol, tropical fruit, oily nuts,
seeds and beans.

YANG: coolness and expansion inside (best for summer),
warmth and expansion outside, animals, light, salt (high sodium),
bitter, saturated fat oil, temperate growing plants, less aromatic
plants, milk, eggs.

Remember, if a substitute does not work after a few tries,
change again and try the same food until you find the source of
the craving. An there is always a source, be it food or otherwise.

‘If a person is unfulfilled in their hunger for love, then it will
often appear in the body as hunger for sweet or heavy foods.
People who use their minds a lot, who work in more intellectual
fields often crave large portions of salty foods. People who enjoy
spicy foods often crave thrilling experiences in their lives, some
new adventures. Without being too hard on ourselves, let us try to
be aware of our cravings, without being judgmental let us be
aware of their meanings.

Having cravings after food is often due to incorrect food
eating habits during the main meal or the meal not being chewed
properly.
