Essentially the body keeps a slight alkaline pH in the
blood. If the diet contains large quantities of acid forming foods
(meat, eggs, fish, beans, lentils, peas, peanuts, cashews,
psychedelic drugs, soft drinks etc.) then the body may withdraw
calcium from the bones and use this to balance the pH levels of
the blood. When the body is predominantly acid, the system may
retain water to help restore the balance. This may appear as a
weight gain, however people with high levels of acidity (high
phosporus or high protein diet) are generally skinny and will lose
real weight more easily – not just water retention. Alkaline persons
(high calcium diet) on the other hand will have increased fat
absorption in the intestines, leading to weight gain. David Wolfe, in
his book The Sunfood Diet System, explains that when the body is
mainly acidic, the effects of alkaloid substances – THC from
cannabis, caffeine, nicotine, cocaine, aspirin, peyote ( the most
powerful alkaloid on this planet ), hot peppers, sassafras and
nutmeg (plant forms of ecstasy) – are to neutralize such acids in
the body, creating the psychic state for mind-expanding
realizations. Aloloids are bitter organic compounds which are
derived from plant bearing seed. The body soon craves acidic
foods that return the body to its usual, dull acidified state. Also
acidic deposits such as uric acid crystals dissolve a little and push
the acidity back up. Sapoty Brook is his book Eco-Eating
promoted the idea that by eating more alkaline foods it is possible
to access these states more regularly, without the need for
substances, natural or chemical. Sapoty suggested the juice of
50g of parsley mixed with a cup of carrot juice and its pulp. This
really does affect our state of mind by truly standing our body back
into a strongly alkaline state. We can integrate these levels
consciousness into our own lives and withdraw the craving for
such substances.

Moses was probably the first to recognize the art of food
combining. ‘Bread in the morning and meat at nigh’ (Exodus 16:8).
Do not mix starch and proteins.
