Salt

 and

 Pepper

Use sparingly if at all. Sea salt is recommended or a potassium
balanced salt if available. Paprika is an alternative to the
stimulating effects of pepper.

Olives

A fatty food containing the healing fats, olives are also wonderfully
cleaning. Be aware olives are often stored in highly free-form salty
water that negates many of their benefits.

Thickness

 Agents

In protein and alkaline dishes we need a starch free alternative to
wheat flour. Other alternatives to use are finely ground nuts and
seeds (hemp, cashews, almonds and sesame are best). Use as
you would the flour, increasing the amount of nut and/or seed flour
according to thickness required.

Taoists eat only one nutrient dense or heavy food per
meal. Milk, considered a cooling food and fish, a warming food is a
combination to be avoided as they are contradictory in their action
on the body. Ghee is a warming food, so do not eat cooling foods
after ghee consumption to avoid a garbled body response.
