give hot foot baths to those suffering from high blood pressure,
heart, kidney or liver problems. There are plenty of other methods
of relaxation such as time spent walking, meditating, singing, use
of relaxing herb tea (chamomile, valerian, or other 'mindless'
activities. If you have a partner then a soothing foot, hand or body
massage an hour before sleep is always nice. When you reach
your bed it should be firm, with low pillows. The best position is to
lie on your back with your arms by your side. Sleep is a special
and major part of our day that deserves preparation beforehand. It
is essential not to fall asleep totally exhausted, but to drift off from
a state of pleasant relaxation. Also, ensure you sleep with a
quality supply of fresh air, keep the window open, especially if you
live in a house with central heating or similar.
Happiness
Naturecure includes the art of being happy. Pleasure resulting
from sensual indulgence of one kind or the other should not be
mistaken for happiness. Happiness can never be achieved at the
expense of health, but involves being perfectly satisfied with what
one has as well as with what one does not have. Rome was not
built in a day, but when you do find this happiness, share it with
others.
Hygiene
When it comes to bathing, it is recommended to first clean the skin
with a natural brush, damp towel or by using a mixture of pure clay
and fine sand. Soft water is the best cleanser after this and we are
advised not to use soap, but gram flour (chickpea flour) if
necessary. These days natural organic hemp soaps with
exfoliating husks are available for those not yet totally purified of
all toxins. See resource section for suppliers or better still, make
your own hemp soap.
