 FASTING

Fast - the Opposite of Slow
he word fast usually conjures up images of
starvation, deprivation, of doing without. To me it is a
chance to let the body rest from the onslaught of solid and
liquid substances we continually bombard ourselves with.
Short fasts are the best way to prepare the body for a change by
allowing it the energy to fully clean itself. Life becomes more
enjoyable when we realise that we eat to live and not live to eat.
To some a fast is to do without, to others it is to go with - to fast is
the highest form of purification and healing. It is the fast route to a
pure body and the quick way to a healthy mind and spirit. There
are as many ideas of fasting as there methods. We can have a
water fast, possibly the strongest of methods, a juice fast that
