Why
Fast?
Mucus
Build-up
To fast you need two things: the desire and the faith.
Dr A. Ehret has studied fasting for a lifetime. The leading
authority in the non-mucus forming diet believes categorically that
mucus is the common basic and main cause of all diseases.
Mucus foods include processed milk (all milk except fresh from a
farm), cheese, flour, rice, potato dishes, meat, starchy foods. We
must want to eliminate these mucus forming foods from our diet,
and have the faith to make this a reality, at least for some time.
Dr Ehret has proved his beliefs on several occasions. One
such case was when he cut a hole in his arm with a knife,
following two years of a strict fruit diet and fasting. There was no
flow of blood as it thickened instantly, closing the wound. Within
three days it had healed with the blood crust thrown off. He tried
the same trick on a vegetarian diet without eggs or milk but with
starchy (mucus forming) vegetables. The wound bled a little,
caused some pain and pussed slightly. The third time he had
eaten some meat and alcohol in his diet and the blood flowed for
longer, and had a lighter and thinner consistency. The pain and
pussing lasted for several days and was only healed after two
days fasting.
Boadicea, Queen of the ancient Britons, in a speech to her
army as she was about to engage the Romans, said The great
advantage we have over them is that they cannot, like us, bear
hunger, thirst, heat or cold; they must have fine bread, wine and
warm houses; to us every herb and root are food, every juice is
our oil, and every stream of water our wine.'
Why
Fast?
Fatigue
During fasting it is believed that even the most seemingly healthy
person must go through a condition of sickness before reaching
