Researchers at Purdue University, West Lafayette, Ind., found that
boys diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
(ADHD) had significantly lower levels of omega-3 and omega- 6
fatty acids in their blood than children without ADHD. It was also
noted that characteristic symptoms of fatty acid deficiency, such
as thirst, frequent urination and dry hair and skin were also
prevalent in the boys with ADHD. Feed your children hemp seed
regularly (see Section Two for tips on how to make hemp seed
tasty) and tell them to expect an improvement in their own, and
your, life.

By increasing the intake of EFAs to 12-15% of total daily food
consumption, this alone will quicken the metabolic rate. This
results in a thermogenic reaction causing fat to burn off and a loss
of excess weight. LA and LNA also substantially shorten the time
required for fatigued muscles to recover after exercise and they
facilitate the conversion of lactic acid to water and carbon dioxide.
At level above 12-15% of total calories intake, EFAs also
increase the rate of metabolic reactions in our body which burns
more fat into carbon dioxide, water and energy, resulting in fat
burn off and loss of excess weight. EFAs also help the immune
system to resist and fight infections. Due to their healing effects,
an adequate supply of these ‘healing fats’ is even more important
to heath than the avoidance of the ‘killer fats’.
Polyunsaturated fats are known to be good, but these can
also cause cancer. For the whole story Udo Erasmus’ Fats That
Heal, Fats That Kill is highly recommended.
