In figure , a polar-orbiter image from April 11th showed the front passing thro u g h
the mid-Atlantic states and moving out to sea. Note that the cloud deck along the
f ront is not well-developed, a sign that the front is weakening. To the west, however,
a considerable amount of cirrus was present suggesting thunderstorms and signifi-
cant convective activity.
