CODICES containing the Catena of Nicetas Serranus on the Psalms.^9
Of the twenty-seven classes of catenae on the Psalms described by Karo and
Lietzmann (K.-L., no. 26) classes VIII and IX contain the codices in which
the catena of Nicetas is found. Of the following codices (nos. 219 to 228) all
belong to class VIII except no. 227 which belongs to class IX and the last (no.
228) which belongs to class XXVII, and consists of miscellaneous codices.
Philo is cited in these catenae, sometimes apparendy without the name, in
the prologue, on Ps. 10321, and elsewhere(P). In nos. 223 and 220 the catena
carries the tide, Luvayoyy) e£v)Yvio£uv euro Sia6puv ayiuv npCv Kai SiSa-
