father’s sun chariot too close to the Earth, cre-

Roman god of agriculture and prophecy.

Canaanite Goddess of Light. One of the
aspects of the Canaanite’s Triple Goddess

Roman god who, with his twin brother
Picunnus, protected the life and health of new
born babies.
Pietas—Female—Mediterranean
‘Dutifulness’—Roman personification and
goddess of duty to the gods, community, and
family. Similar to Dharma (Hindu God) and
representative of the principle presented in the
Wiccan Rede as will. Her temple at the foot of
the Capitoline Hill dates from the beginning
of the second century before common era.

‘Wealth’—Roman god of the Underworld.
The etymology of his name, ‘wealth,’ reminds
us that the Underworld is not only seen as the
place of the dead, it is also the place where the
riches of the Earth are found. His real name
was a hidden secret, never spoken because folk
were afraid it would attract his attention, and
without the aspect of wealth he was not all that
welcome.
