    Pseudomembranous
    Colitis (antibiotic
    associated Colitis)

  • If no response
    consider parasites

  • Check 0 & P

  • Give Ciprofloxacin or
    Azithromycin

  • Obtain more Malaria smears

    • Repeat blood count

      • CXR





  • May treat as Malaria if exposed

  • Consider TB, Rickettsial infection,
    Brucellosis, Enteric fever and treat
    appropriately

  • In absence of specific diagnosis
    observe closely, refer to care where
    other diagnostic capabilities available

  • Consider Plague

  • Aspirate Node for Gram Stain

  • Blood Count

  • Obtain CXR - Isolate if abnormal

  • Give plague treatment with
    Gentamicin or Ciprofloxacin

  • Consider Anti Staphylococcal
    Antibiotic (Dicloxacillin) as well

  • Consider Cat Scratch Disease
