day,and balanced Sutuin the mansions above,againstthe Great
one who is with him.
I have equippedThoth[withlight]in the house of the Moon.
I seize uponthe Crown. Maatis upon me, and the Emerald
and the Crystal of her months.
Thisfieldof mine is of Azure in the festival thereof.
I lighten up the darkness and overthrow the devouring
monsters,(i)
Thosewhoare in their owndarknessworshipme, and they rise
up to me, covering theirfaces,whomournand are prostrate : look
ye therefore uponme.
I am the Craftsman (2) of Nu, but I come not up in order that
you should hearof this.
I am the Craftsman of Nu, who lighteneth the darkness, and I
havecometo dissipate the darkness, and that light shouldbe.

    papyriomitthe feminine ending,which is inconsistent withthe rest
    of the chapter. I understand kj xy ^ , in the sense of artist,

Chapterwherebyone assumeth the form of the Lotus.
I am the pure Lotuswhichcomethforthfromthe glory whichis
at the nostril of-Ra,and I make my journey and pursue it for Horus,
the great god beloved.
I am the pure Lotuswhichcomethforthin the field.
