the matters of the Tuat.
Oh goddess Aucherit, who concealestthat is within thee, but
raisestup forms, like Chepera, grantthatI may comeforthandsee
the orb of the sun, andwalkforthin the presence of the great god,
whois Shu andabidethfor eternity.
I travel on high, I tread uponthe firmament, I raise a flame
with the daylight which mine eye hath made, andI fly forward
towardsthe splendours of the Glorified in presence of Ra daily,
givinglife to every manwhotreadethon the lands (18)whichare
uponthe earth.
Oh thou who leapest forth, conductor of the Shades and
Glorified onesfrom the Earth, let the fair pathto the Tuat be
grantedto me, which is made in behalf of those whoare in faint
conditionandfor the restoration of those whoare in pain.
Whoart thou, whodevourestin Amenta?
I am He who presideth in Restau. " He who enterethin his
ownname,and cometh forthin quest ; the Lord of the Eternity of
the Earth " is my name.
Shewho hathconceived hath set down her burden; which

I part the two deitiesof morning thatI may cometo hold the
Eye,(22)and cause it to rest in its place.
I am come to see Ra at his setting, and I unite withthe breeze
at his coming forth: my two hands are pure for adoring him.
