ly established Centre for the Critical Study of Apocalyptic and
Millenarian Movements based in Bedford, UK
Benjamin J. Pauli is Assistant Professor of Social Science at
Kettering University in Flint, Michigan, USA. His research in-
terests include the study of political ideologies, particularly an-
archism, as well as religion and politics and urban politics. He
is the editor of Radical Religion: Contemporary Perspectives
on Religion and the Left and the author of several articles and
book chapters on 20th-century anarchist thought in Britain and
the United States. He has been active in the popular mobilization
around the Flint Water Crisis and is currently at work on a book
project that frames the struggle for clean water in Flint as part of
a broader struggle for democracy in the city and beyond.
Simon D. Podmore is Senior Lecturer in Systematic Theology at
Liverpool Hope University. He is the author of Struggling With God:
Kierkegaard and the Temptation of Spiritual Trial (Cambridge:
James Clarke & Co., 2013) and Kierkegaard and the Self Before
God: Anatomy of the Abyss (Bloomington: Indiana University
Press, 2011); and co-editor of Exploring Lost Dimensions in
Christian Mysticism: Opening to the Mystical (Farnham: Ashgate,
2013), Christian Mysticism and Incarnation Theology: Between
Transcendence and Immanence (Farnham: Ashgate, 2013), and
Mystical Theology and Continental Philosophy: Interchange in
the Wake of God (London/New York: Routledge, 2017). His
research explores the relationships between constructive, philo-
sophical, and mystical theology, psychotherapy, and the arts. He
is co-convenor of The Mystical Theology Network.
