Single-View Drawings.


One-view drawings are commonly used in the manufacturing industry to represent parts that are uniform
in shape. These drawings are often supplemented with notes, symbols, and written information. They
are normally used to describe the shape of cylindrical, cone-shaped, rectangular, and other symmetri-
cal parts. Leaders are often used to relate a note to a particular feature, as in Figure 5.8. Thin, flat ob-
jects of uniform thickness are typically represented by one-view drawings.
