Understanding Industrial Blueprints 191

  1. Omit hidden lines unless absolutely necessary to describe the shape of the object.

  2. Consider data and dimensioning schemes based on feature relationships.

  3. Place dimensions between views where possible.

  4. Where possible, minimize mathematical equations.

  5. Do not dimension hidden lines.

  6. Check that the product is designed for manufacturability and that an inspection process is in
    place to check dimension accuracy.
