8.2 ARCHITECTURAL GRAPHIC SYMBOLS.


Reading blueprints requires a good understanding of line types. For example, on a plot plan some of the
information shown will include property lines, rights-of-way, easements, topographic features, and a
north arrow. Line types are discussed in greater detail in Chapter 3. Figure 8.4A and B show various
door, window, and wall symbols used in general construction.
