(^38) The real truth is that there is no true human reality in any belief system invented by
humankind—not even one! (HR, Intro, XXI).
An honest critic would ask, “Why does someone who claims to be ‘psychic’ need to be told
the question an inquirer has for them? Common sense dictates that IF their claims were true, they
should already know the question before it is asked.” Questions posed to “psychics” are the words of
men’s mouths answered by the flesh of other men. LDS/Mormon members who approach Patriarchs
within their church for insight into their future via “Patriarchal Blessings,” participate in this same
soothsaying. Real truth eliminates the need for further inquiry and therefore is “the final answer.”
The fact that Brigham Young received 5 such blessings is witness to the absence of real truth found in
such proclamations, as the frequency in which he received them was akin to someone today reading
their daily astrological horoscope in a newspaper. Doesn’t it seem odd that someone claiming to be a
“prophet, seer and revelator” to the whole world needed to consult with a third party in his search
for answers? See also HR, 1:1; 2:1; 13:31; 16:52; BOM, 2 Nephi 12:6; Isaiah 2:6.
