Without Disclosing My True Identity
I know that ye do walk in the pride of your hearts...unto the wearing of
very fine apparel, unto envying, and strifes, and malice, and persecutions,
and all manner of iniquities; and your churches, yea, even every one, have
become polluted because of the pride of your hearts. For behold, ye do
love money, and your substance, and your fine apparel, and the adorning
of your churches, more than ye love the poor and the needy, the sick and
the afflicted. O ye pollutions, ye hypocrites, ye teachers, who sell
yourselves for that which will canker, why have ye polluted the holy
church of God? Why are ye ashamed to take upon you the name of
Christ? Why do ye...suffer the hungry, and the needy, and the naked, and
the sick and the afflicted to pass by you, and notice them not?^80
If Joseph was Mormon, and if Mormon’s son, Moroni, wrote the above words
(according to the command of his father) after Mormon was killed by the Lamanites—then
how is it that Joseph/Mormon/Moroni were able to predict with precision the rise of the
LDS Church and exactly what would become of it as the words above suggest? If Joseph
wrote the Book of Mormon, how could he have known what would become of the LDS
people and their wickedness before he even knew that a church would arise out of his
work? His original intent was that there would be no church. The critics will stand
confounded when they consider this.
The answer is simple. Joseph did not know—but the advanced humans responsible
for the Book of Mormon and the role Joseph would play for the sake of all humanity—did.
