Without Disclosing My True Identity

Joseph Smith, Jr. never discussed the “many other things”^25 or the “instructions” he
was given by Moroni,^26 the Three Nephites, John the Beloved, and Christ himself.^27 If he
had, the people would have risen up and killed him sooner...just like they did in the end!^28

due to be released in 2010. ...In the upcoming handbook, caring for the poor and the needy will be
stated as one of the church’s purposes, along with its well-recognized, three-fold mission statement.”

announced. In its announcement, the Church made it clear that it was not changing its three-fold
mission. Instead, the Church stated, “The new handbooks clarify confusion regarding what the First
Presidency referred to in 1981 as the three-fold mission of the Church–proclaiming, perfecting, and
redeeming. Handbook 2, section 2.2, reaffirms the First Presidency’s intent in 1981 that these three
