11.Apply liver of sulfur or oxidizing solution to
the three pieces of rectangle wire. It is very
important to follow any safety recommenda-
tions the manufacturer suggests when using
any chemicals.
12.After using the oxidizing solution, use fine
steel wool to remove the darkened area on
the surface of the three pieces of rectangle
wire, leaving the circles where you stamped
dark. Rinse with water, dry, and rub with a
polishing cloth.13.To curve the rectangle wire pieces, you can
use a bracelet mandrel and rawhide mallet,
use your hand and curve them around a
baseball bat or wooden dowel, or use two
pair of chain nose pliers and gently coax the
rectangle wire pieces into the desired curves.
Set these aside.
