2.Mark the two pieces of memory wire in iden-
tical places. This is where you will form the
loops to attach the ear wires. You can meas-
ure and mark the wires in the center or you
can mark them slightly off center, to add
interest to your earrings.
3.Use the round nose pliers to grasp the mem-
ory wire where you have made the mark.
Hold the wire approximately J” from the
end of the tip of the round nose pliers with
the wire curving down. This will give you a
good size loop through which you can place
the eye pin and ear wire.
4.Hold the wire firmly in the jaws of the round
nose pliers. Use your fingers to bend the
sides of the wire down to form a fish shape.
The memory wire is very
strong and is designed to keep
its round shape, so it is not easily
bent.
What advice would you offer a
beginning artist?
“I don’t think you’ll ever be rich as an
artist, but you will be one of the few who
loves their job. You will be rich in your
heart and soul.”
