one end of the 1H” pieces of rectangle wire
and place a mark in the center of the wire.
This is where you will drill the holes to slide

rectangle wire pieces onto a hard, flat sur-
face. Place the point of the awl on the mark
that you made^1 ⁄ 16 ” from one end of the
rectangle wire pieces, and firmly strike once

the rectangle wire.

1.Use the ruler to measure and mark two 1H”
pieces of 4 ×1 mm rectangle sterling silver
wire.

2.Using a jeweler’s saw or tin snips, cut the
4 ×1 mm rectangle sterling silver wire into
two 1H” lengths.

3.File each end of the 1H” rectangle wire
pieces to remove any burs or rough edges.
If desired, you can use the file to round the
ends of the rectangle wire pieces. Use a fine

you have filed to smooth the edges and
remove any file marks.
