Biography


Born in Brooklyn, New York, 26 September 1962. Attended
State University of New York, Purchase, B.A., 1985;
studied photography at Yale University, New Haven,
Connecticut, M.F.A., 1988. Teaching positions include
State University of New York, Purchase, New York,
1988–93; Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, New
York, 1990; Cooper Union, New York, 1990–93; Vassar
College, Poughkeepsie, New York, 1993; Yale Univer-
sity, New Haven, Connecticut, 1994 to present. Received
The Aaron Siskind Fellowship, 1991; Visual Artists Fel-
lowship from National Endowment for the Arts, 1992.
Resides in New York City.
