Biography

Born in Courbevoie, France, 13 June 1894. Received first
camera in 1902. Amateur photographer for most of his
life. Trained as a painter at the Acade ́mie Julian in Paris in

1915. First solo photography exhibition at the Museum
      of Modern Art in New York in 1963. Died in Nice, France
      13 September 1986.

LARTIGUE, JACQUES HENRI
