THE TYPO-POSTER
Format
The official poster sizes laid down since 1 May 1927 are:2 sheet 84 x J20 em. Half sheet 42 X 60 em.
(^1) sheet 60 X 84 em. Quarter sheet 30 X 42 em.
These sizes represent DIN sizes AD, A 1. A2, and A3 rounded to em. Smaller
posters (as long as they are not intended for poster pillars) should be in
exactly A4 (21 0 x 297 mm) or A5 (148 x 210 mm).
Label sizes are dealt with in Standard 825 (Label Formats) in a later sec
tion (p. 1 92).

Centred arrangement, even where it is obviously senseless: borders; "decoration" in the form of
th•ck/thin rules. IneffiCi ent. unfunct1onal. unpleasing. The thick/thin border rules make the
poster look smaller than the redes1gned version opposite.
