perfect,” but that cannot be so if pantheism is
correct (Matthew 5:48). The Scripture also states
that, “God is light, and in Him is no darkness
at all” (1 John 1:5). Yet another Biblical passage
asserts, “... the Lord is upright ... and there is no
unrighteousness in Him” (Psalms 92:15).

These statements can ONLY be correct if theism
is the right description of God’s relationship to
the universe. If the Creator exists separate from
the creation, then the evil in this world cannot be
attributed to Him. Instead, evil must stream from
other sources: specifically, fallen angels (Satan
and his demonic underlings) and fallen human
beings, whose nature has been corrupted. Both
of these were originally created pure, yet they
were given a free will and chose to rebel against
God. Through them alone, the world has been
contaminated. This is really the only plausible
and sensible explanation. Even among Hindus
this antithetical idea of pantheism has been a
matter of controversy. The famous Hindu teacher
Mahdva asserted:

“It is blasphemous to believe that a perfect
God changes Himself into an imperfect
creation.”10/*
