OVERTIME OATS
The steel-cut oats take some time to cook, but it’s worth the wait; this is a breakfast that sticks
with you.

4½ CUPS WATER
1 CUP STEEL-CUT OATS
½ CUP OAT BRAN
½ TEASPOONSALT
18 WALNUT HALVES
2 LARGE STRAWBERRIES, SLICED
Mix the water, oats, oat bran, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
Reduce the heat and cover the pan. Simmer, stirring frequently, for 30 minutes or until thickened.
Serve topped with the walnuts and strawberries.
