Hardware Hacking 101The current consumption of the LCD device and a low frequency oscillator is so
small that you can leave the object running on a 9 volt battery for weeks before it
runs down. You could even power the whole thing with a small solar panel. If
you go shopping for the latter, look for one that puts out anywhere from 3 to 12
volts, with a current capacity of 5 milliamps or so. Some circuit can even be
powered by a potato battery (dust off those childhood science fair notes.....)
