and that takes the center of your life, it keeps you from having the
fullness that you desire to have. It ’ s selling yourself short, which is
another form of prostitution... selling yourself short of the health
and life you most desire. There is a kind of natural force; like a rock
falling, it doesn ’ t have a mind of its own — it has force. Evil some-
times is the force of inertia, remaining on the sofa, of not doing
[what we know is healthiest]; it becomes so powerful to us that it
sometimes appears as if it has a mind. ”
Although some people may still feel uncomfortable with the
words sin and evil , we all can relate to the pain and suffering that we
have caused ourselves and others by making unconscious choices
that have not served our higher calling. Whatever you choose to
call it, when we fall into these “ holes in the sidewalk ” or fi nd our-
selves in places where we don ’ t want to be, we can remember to
look within for the redeeming truth. Whether it be a physical or
an emotional pain, there is a root issue asking for our attention
to release it. If we can approach it as an opportunity for growth,
rather than as an undesired entity to resist or extinguish, this will
release the resurrective potential that it was intended to teach us.
Fortunately, my experience continues to assure me that as we seek
love and the light, the higher calling within us all, and our knowl-
edge of this resurrective potential in any situation, there will follow
healing and miracles beyond our imaginings.
When I look back over my life, at my many unconscious, igno-
rant, and error - based actions, I realize that my most dramatic and
signifi cant healings, revelations in the desert, and manifestations
of my dreams and goals were preceded by persistent prayers. I am
assured that this loving, connecting, and creating force is eternal
and will always be there for my greater good. Seeking, receiving, and
sharing love and forgiveness from God, for myself and others, have
also been predominant and ongoing actions in my spiritual growth
and assurance.
