that had ever occurred to my body, simply by feeling the energy
a few inches above me. If that wasn ’ t incredible enough, when
I sensed her hands return to my head area, all that I could see was
what I now call “ a purple show. ” I told her that I wasn ’ t sure what
was happening to me but that the only thing visible with my eyes
closed was a full screen of purple. More specifi cally, it was as if
I were being bathed in the color indigo blue. I also felt blissed out,
as if I ’ d been plugged into an electrical outlet of unconditional
love! She giggled and explained that I was receiving a healing. Her
hands moved away again, and within a few minutes I saw little
orange droplets sprinkling into my purple show!
I was astounded but asked whether she knew what it could be.
Despite the risk of sounding a bit mental, I described to her what
I was seeing and asked whether she had ever heard anyone describe
such a visual experience. She laughed and admitted that she had
not but said that she assumed it was simply a refl ection of what she
was doing. She explained that when she moved the excess energy
in my brain, I saw a “ purple - out ” because that is the color of the
chakra near my forehead, which refl ected the healing that the ener-
getic movement allowed. She was moving the build - up of energy
she sensed in my brain to the blocked area that had an inadequate
energy fl ow, where my sacrum and my pelvis had been broken in
four places a year earlier, in my snow - skiing collision with an out -
of - control snowboarder.
She admitted that she did not know for sure, but she proposed
that because the chakra for the pelvis area is orange in color,
I saw this orange energy drip into my “ purple show ” when her hands
returned to my forehead area.
At this point, all I was sure of was how limited our understand-
ing of healing really is! I had never been particularly interested in
chakras, because they either existed as a reality or not, but this
experience certainly erased any doubts and indifference I had on
the subject. Although I periodically enjoy this “ purple show ” healing
experience during a good massage, ever since this initial introduc-
tion to the chakras ’ colors and their expression, I have never seen
