Chop the parsley and cilantro and garnish the top of each burger
with both, if desired, creating a bed for the chili sauce and onions.

Chili Sauce
½ can (6 ounces) no - salt tomato paste
1 tablespoon chili powder
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Mix together all of the ingredients in a medium bowl.

Onion Topper
2 large onions
1 ⁄ 8 cup balsamic vinegar

Cut the onions into thin slices. Sauté the onions in the balsamic
vinegar until they are translucent and most of the vinegar has
cooked away, approximately 5 minutes.
Yield: 6 servings (1 patty with 1 cup sweet potato mixture +^1 ⁄ 6 of
each topping, the chili sauce and onions, per serving)

4.2 g, Fat 2.6 g, Carbohydrate 31.8 g, Cholesterol 0 mg, Sodium 37.8 mg
Allowances: 2 starches + ½ fat + ½ vegetable

1 teaspoon extra - virgin olive oil
2 large onions, diced
2 large carrots, diced
2 teaspoons minced garlic
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons ground coriander
2 teaspoons ground fenugreek
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper fl akes
2 large tomatoes, cored and chopped
1 cup red lentils (soaked overnight)
