his chapter enables you to focus on your feelings so that you
can maximize the emotional experiences that empower you and
heal the feelings that get in your way and prevent you from attain-
ing true health. We know that feelings can create disease just as
dramatically as an unhealthy diet can, although often much less
obviously. A big part of gaining control of your emotions — or the
power that you ’ ve unconsciously allowed them to have over you — is
your ability to become aware of, and then responsible for, your
feelings.
