Day 6: Responsibility Game Jump - Start


Act as if you are responsible for everything that happens in your
life, in a quiet place, with journal in hand, for fi fteen to twenty
paradigm - shifting minutes. Two key qualities for successful change
and paradigm shifts are having a clear idea of what you want and
being committed to following the goal through to completion.
Prime your paradigm shift by developing clarity of heart about what
your goals really are and how achieving them will look, feel, smell,
taste, and sound. Let go of any limiting thoughts. You may want
to keep score in your journal ’ s margin, chalking up a point every
time you release a thought that negatively affects the pursuit of
your goal. Remember that shifting paradigms and expanding one ’ s
consciousness involve taking risks, as does any signifi cant growth
or change, so don ’ t forget that any fall or slip gets to be followed by
scoring more points when you get up again!
I hear Dr. Kempner chant, “ It ’ s not the intensity of the great pas-
sion but the duration of the great passion that makes a great man
(and woman) great! ” Inspire all of your senses to support you in your
conscious pursuit of your goals and the life that you want. And keep
getting up for the next inning of play!

One day my brother, Digger, called me as he was driving down the
road, rocking out to his latest Austin, Texas, music discovery. He
said, “ Kitty, if you are going to be writing a book about how to create
paradigm shifts, describing ways to help shift our minds and hearts
into more positive directions, you ’ ve got to include music. There
is no faster way for me to move from a complete funk, to fl ying
high, than by popping in the right rock ‘ n ’ roll! ” I knew that music
certainly did this for me, and this conversation set me off on a
journey to learn more about it.
