Quiznos Steakhouse Dip Submarine


Quiznos has a variety of toasted deli sandwiches. This recipe features one of their signature
submarines with an au jus dipping sauce.

INGREDIENTS | SERVES 2
Au Jus Dipping Sauce
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon finely chopped onion
1 tablespoon flour
1 (1-ounce) packet au jus mix
12/3 cups water
Sandwich Sauce
½ cup prepared Alfredo sauce
¼ cup mayonnaise
1 dash onion salt or garlic salt
Sandwich
1 loaf bakery French bread
¾ pound thin-sliced deli roast beef
½ cup shredded Swiss cheese
½ cup shredded Italian cheese blend


1. Preheat the oven broiler.
2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat. Sauté the onions until tender (about
2–3 minutes).
3. Add the flour and the contents of the au jus mix packet. Gradually whisk in the water and
allow it to simmer while you make the sandwich.
4. In a small bowl, mix together the Alfredo sauce, mayonnaise, and your choice of onion salt
or garlic salt.
5. Slice the French bread with one horizontal slice to make a top and a bottom half. Spread the
sauce evenly over both pieces of the sliced bread.
