glorify your strengths. Instead, embrace them both and use them both to
enhance your trading performance. Just the introspective understanding of
your personal attributes will put you in a powerful position. This introspec-
tion will enable you to develop a strong yin and yang psychology where you
create a harmonious relationship between all of your perceived strengths
and weaknesses.
Trading and success in the financial markets is not merely about having
an exceptional approach or system that will give you anedge. Rather, it
is about having an exceptional understanding of yourself, along with the
system that will give you your edge. This exceptional understanding will
lead to attainingthe trader’s mindset.

YIN AND YANG PERCEPTIONS REVEALED

When you look at the list of yin and yang opposites in Table 3.1, you may
say to yourself at first glance, “the left column has allbadweaknesses and
right column has allgoodstrengths.” Herein lies the impact of your per-
ceptions. In reality there are no entirely good or bad traits, sometimes a
perceived weakness can turn into a unique asset. It is all in how you per-
ceive and approach the world.
