The Astrology Book

(Tina Meador) #1
Mercury Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Mars: Language, sound, “the spoken word” are in
focus. The ability to give words meaning or to put ideas into words and give others a feeling for
what things mean. Communicating with words. Also a sharp and clear mind. Quick, even
clever. Entertaining.

Mercury Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Mars: You are sharp-tongued. Arguments
and debates are probably lifelong companions. You communicate with your emotions and
sheer drive as much as by words and thoughts. Your verbal and mental presence (by sheer insis-
tence) is something to behold.

Mercury Conjunct Jupiter: You have an eye for legal matters, and are probably great at solv-
ing puzzles and finding solutions as well as communicating them to others. A good counselor.
Your mind is expert at problems, finding a way through or beyond any roadblock or obstacle.

Mercury Opposite Jupiter: Your ideas, thoughts, and words are not always the most practical.
You tend to go off in directions that are counterproductive and not in your best interest. Any
career moves had best be considered well, until you can separate the wheat from the chaff.

Mercury Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Jupiter: Good ability to “get the picture” (the gist of
things) and to communicate this to others. In fact, helping others to find their way through life
(for example, via vocational counseling) is indicated. Religious ideas and concepts are natural.

Mercury Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Jupiter: Your ideas and plans are not always
the most practical or expedient. Fond of grand schemes, verbalization, and the like, these ideas
don’t often boil down to real solutions. Your main path may involve taking many of your ideas
with a grain of salt.

Mercury Conjunct Saturn: You are a serious thinker and don’t often waste words. Concentra-
tion is easy for you, and detailed, technical, mental work would suit you just fine. Not free with
your words, some may find you a tad on the sober side. A disciplined mind.

Mercury Opposite Saturn: You can at times be unorganized and lack discipline in the idea
and mental department. You have difficulty limiting and defining what you say or think and
may tend to impractical schemes. It could be hard for you to concentrate and to study.

Mercury Trine, Sextile, or Semi-sextile Saturn: A real problem-solver, the more tedious the
better. Able to reduce any subject matter to the bare bones. Heavy-duty thinker. Could be very
serious or philosophical. Enjoy study and thought. Very methodical and practical in approach.

Mercury Square, Semi-square, or Sesqui-square Saturn: Your ideas and thoughts often con-
flict with your sense of responsibility and discipline. You may have trouble concentrating, or
may alternate between periods of mental discipline and chaos. Your words and thoughts are
not always very practical.

Mercury Conjunct Uranus: A genius perhaps—at least others may think so. Your mind
always manages to find a new and different way to think and to put your ideas into words. Bril-
