Verbs like gustarinclude the following:

(a) Verbs of emotional reaction:
A Sara le encanta tu peinado nuevo.
Sara loves your new hairstyle.

Nos preocupa que no haya venido.
We are worried because he has not come.
Le apasionan los aeromodelos.
He’s mad about model planes.
Me molesta que fume.
I don’t like him smoking.

(b) Verbs of needing, lacking, remaining:
Nos hace falta consultar el mapa.
We need to look at the map.
Me faltan dos etiquetas.
I am short of two labels.

Me quedan dos.
I have two left.
Nos sobra comida.
We have more than enough food/We have food left over.

(c) Verbs of interest, appreciation and reflection:
Me apetece/provoca[LA] una copa de cava.
I fancy a glass of cava.
¿Qué te parece Carlota?
What do you think of Carlota?

A number of other verbs are similar, in that the main participant appears
as the indirect object, but they correspond to impersonal sentences in
English where the subject is ‘it’:
Me tocó pagar.
It was my turn to pay.
No te conviene hacer eso.
It isn’t in your interests to do that.
