dark to light,

gently blend the

pastel into the

background.

Darken the

tree trunks and

branches with a

black charcoal

stick.

Use the chisel

edge to add small

leaves.

Use your finger or

a blending tool to

push the pastel

in the direction

of the various

elements.

Use the flat and

sharp edges to add

autumn colors.

Create shadows

on the ground.

Indicate light in

the foreground.
