Block in shades of brown,

red, yellow, and green

into the trees. Increase the

oranges and yellows at

the end of the path, and

add bright green to reflect

the sunlight coming from

behind the trees. Create

wildflowers and grasses

in the foreground with the

edge of the pastel, and

indicate fallen yellow-

orange leaves. Blend the

colors using your fingers or

a blending tool.

Now create finer detail

using the sharp edge

of your pastels and a

wide selection of pastel

pencils. Add details to the

wildflowers and grasses to

create more interest in the

foreground.

Lead the eye

down the

path toward

the bright

yellow trees

and fields

glowing in

the autumn

sunshine.
