Ernest Edmonds is professor of Computation and Creative media at the university
of Technology, sydney. he is Visiting professor at university of sussex and Visiting
Research Fellow at goldsmiths College, uK. he has more than 30 years experience
of supervising practice-based phds and has served on both arts and science funding
bodies.


Henrik Frisk is an active performer of improvised and contemporary music as well
as a composer of chamber and computer music. his music has been performed by
himself and others in many countries and since the late 1990s he has been affiliated
to malmö academy of music at lund university, sweden.


Morwenna Griffiths is Chair of Classroom learning at edinburgh university, uK.
her recent research includes philosophical theorizing and empirical investigation,
related to epistemology, the nature of practice, feminization and creativity. her
books include Action for Social Justice in Education; Educational Research for Social
Justice, and Feminisms and the Self, published by Routledge.


Lin Holdridge is the Visual Resources officer at the university of plymouth, uK. she
has spent many years researching in the disciplines of art history and Fine art and
issues surrounding the phd in Fine art. she is currently researching and publishing
in the field of visual arts and material culture in native american studies.


Mark Johnson is Knight professor of liberal arts and sciences, department of
philosophy, university of oregon. his research focuses on the role of the body
and imagination in the experience and making of meaning. his work appropriates
empirical research from the cognitive sciences as it bears on the nature of mind,
thought, language, and aesthetics.


Henrik Karlsson is assistant professor in musicology and a former research
secretary at the Royal swedish academy of music and consultant to Riksbankens
Jubileumsfond. he headed the assessment of the swedish Research Council’s grants
to artistic research, and has edited a great number of anthologies in music and
cultural sciences.


torsten Kälvemark retired in 2007 from his post as senior advisor at the swedish
national agency for higher education. For a number of years he was head of a
working group on practice-based artistic research within the swedish Research
Council. he is a frequent contributor to arts pages in newspapers and magazines in
sweden.


Søren Kjørup is currently professor of arts-based Research at the Bergen national
academy of the arts, norway, after many years as professor of the history and
Theory of the humanities at Roskilde university, denmark. he has published widely
on arts-based research, history and theory of humanities, aesthetics, art history, film
studies, literary studies, museology, philosophy, and semiotics.


Susan Kozel is professor of new media with the medea Collaborative media
institute at the university of malmö, sweden, and is director of mesh performance
practices. her performances and installations have toured internationally and she
