148 Who Do You Think You Are?


awhile now. Each day, fame knocks, I answer with a smile, and I’m
more at peace with that in my soul.
I estimate that the events that shaped me in my childhood were
simple things. I saw what I didn’t want to be; the ways I didn’t want to
live; the things I didn’t want to do, and then it was up to me to dig down
deep inside and discover how to get past old programs. I had to use all of
my experiences for good as a powerful tool instead of turning myself
into a victim and believing that I couldn’t do any better than what I’d
known. I couldn’t allow myself to surrender to such dark images. Instead,
I surrendered to love. I found out that there was a gift inside of me that
had never been opened, so I opened it myself. It is my prayer that many
others across the globe use my work to open the gift that they are to the
world.


If you could give advice to those who are still searching for their
life’s purpose, what would it be?


My grandmother used to always say, “Where there’s a will, there’s a
way.” I really believe that’s true. I talk to a lot of people on a daily basis
and I hear a flood of can’t-itus! It’s caused, by saying over and over “I
can’t, I can’t, I can’t.” I believe that our thoughts are things and they’re
exceptionally powerful. Our thoughts are our prayers for what we want.
Be extremely mindful!
I would also say, “Change your mind, change your world.” Where
there’s certainly a will there’s absolutely a way, and there will be a way
even if you don’t see it right now. As long as you trust that it will be
shown to you, you can’t miss it. When you come to the table of life
