The Other Shoe
Let's close this section on heliocentric vs. geocentric
astrology by pointing out something about the history of
the change from geocentric astronomy/astrology to
heliocentric astronomy. We know that Nicholas
Copernicus was the man who first demonstrated that it
was the earth which circles around the Sun, and not
vice versa. Before this, everyone assumed it was the
Sun that circled the earth—and this notion extended to
astrologers also.
In fact, before the Copernican revolution (as it has been
called), astronomers were astrologers and astrologers
were astronomers. This gradually ended when it was
agreed upon that it was the earth which orbited the Sun,
and not what they had so preciously imagined
beforehand.
