In the context of goals/objectives and strategy, there are a variety
of different words/expressions used, as we have already demonstrated
with the use of the words,goalsand objectives. The ten key
words in this area and what they suggest are:
1 Goal:the selected result to be achieved only with effort
2 Objective:tangible, attainable end toward which effort is
expended
3 Purpose:the desired result or movement toward it
4 Aim:the target aimed at
5 End:the intended effects of actions (as opposed to means)
6 Object:the same as end, but also conveys wish and motive
