-^ Voice-Over with Sound On Tape (VO/SOT): This script is
read by the anchor (Figure 19.3). It contains video, along
with an interview with a source in the field. All four
kinds of television scripts may be written by a producer,
an anchor or a reporter.
The director needs to know the type of script being used for each
segment of a television news broadcast. Thus, the left-hand side of the
script may include any of the following:

• When the newscaster will be reading at the same time a
  videotape is running (VO).


• When a computer graphic (CG) will be inserted.


• What the speakers will be saying live from the studio
  (O/C, which means On Camera, or LIVE).


• When sound and picture will be on tape (VO/SOT).


• When there is a live picture from a remote location
  (REMOTE).


• The time for each segment and the total time (TST/TRT).


• Whatever end-of-page or end-of-script marks are appro-
  priate (for example, ###).
  On the script, a cue should appear directly across from the line
  where a change or insertion will occur. Figure 19.4 shows an example.
