  1. How have blogs and Web communities affected the way in which
people get their news? Do they have a greater impact on how peo-
ple perceive newsworthy topics? Do people trust them more than
traditional forms of news media? Are reporters acting responsibly
when they get story tips from blogs?

  2. You’re out with your friends, and one of them falls into the river.
You capture it all on video. It’s hilarious, but it’s also very embar-
rassing for your friend. Should you post it on the Web? Why or
why not? Do you think people who post videos of others should get
approval before you post? What effects might posting videos have
    on the people in them?

  3. What effect does podcasting have on how people perceive the
news? Is it always better to see or hear the news than read about
it? In today’s fast-paced society, are podcasts a more efficient way
of getting the news without having to stop and read?

  4. Why do you think Web communities are so popular? Do you think
everyone wants to be famous? Have you or would you post on one
    of these sites?

  5. What makes someone a reporter? Does posting on a blog, creating
a podcast or uploading a video make someone a reporter? Explain.
