preparation, sticking with the routines that worked for him.
- Pre-game meals:
- Home games – Chocolate chip pancakes
- Road games – Pasta dish (½ marinara, ½ alfredo sauce), followed by vanilla ice cream &
chocolate syrup
- Pre-game nap – minimum of 2hrs prior to the game
- Stick tape – Retape the stick once/month
- Skates – Sharpened with a 5/8 edge, fresh before each game
- Pregame dress – Be half-dressed 15 minutes prior to warm-ups
- Locker room mental preparation – Identify three aspects of the game to focus on
- In the half-moon warmup formation, always shoot from the same position on the ice
