be in magenta, so select the Lasso
tool (L) in the Toolbar and draw a
selection around the subject posed
on the left side. Press Command-
Shift-J (PC: Ctrl-Shift-J) to cut the
selected area to a new layer. Click
back on the original magenta layer
and do the same to the pose on the
right side, placing it on its own layer.
Then lock that new layer’s transpar-
ency in the Layers panel by clicking
the checkerboard icon next to Lock
near the top of the panel.
Step 11: Next, click on the Fore-
ground color swatch again and
choose a cyan color, or any color you
prefer. Again, fill the layer with this
color by pressing Shift-Delete (PC:
Shift-Backspace). Because you locked
the layer’s transparency in the previ-
ous step, it will only fill the pixels on
that layer with that color. Be sure to
experiment with other colors.
